China has become a major agricultural machinery country in the world, and currently ranks first in the output value and usage of agricultural machinery in the world; The level of agricultural mechanization in China has significantly improved, with the comprehensive mechanization rate of crop cultivation and harvest exceeding 72% in 2021. China's agricultural machinery cooperatives have developed rapidly, with 194800 agricultural machinery operation service organizations in 2020, including 75000 agricultural machinery cooperatives. By vigorously promoting "Internet plus agricultural machinery operation" and actively carrying out agricultural production trusteeship, it has promoted the organic connection between small-scale agricultural production and modern agricultural development. Now, "mechanization is the fundamental way out for agriculture" has become the consensus of the whole society.

With the widespread application of information technology, we have achieved real-time remote monitoring and trajectory management of agricultural machinery operations. By monitoring the condition of agricultural machinery, we can timely obtain agricultural big data and establish a database of agricultural conditions. Chen Xuegeng pointed out in the video report that the shortcomings of the current development of the agricultural machinery industry include: dependence on imports for high-end products, severe surplus of mid to low end products, and prominent low-level homogenization.

Focusing on the main business and strengthening collaboration, agricultural machinery enterprises need to strengthen their core competitiveness

Chen Zhi, President of the China Agricultural Machinery Industry Association, said that to solve the problem of "filling gaps", enterprises should focus on their main business, strengthen collaboration, including production, supply and sales, upstream and downstream, and collaborate with users to strengthen their core capabilities. This summit is the first to be held in the southwest region, where Chongqing has many mountainous and hilly areas. We can focus on the geographical characteristics of the southwest region to strengthen the research and development of agricultural machinery and small robots. For example, how to achieve mechanization in prickly pear harvesting in Guizhou is a new topic in the industry.
